Preview problem

Hi there,

When ever I type a word in the search box in preview to search for it in my pdf books, preview stops in the middle of searching and removes the highlight over the result then gives a beep sound.

Any suggestions to fix this issue ?

I have the exact same issue after updating to the latest version of Catalina. Very annoying.
