Files won't open

I recently upgraded to High Sierra. Now my Pages and Numbers (and other) files won't open. I get the message: The document "document name" could not be opened.

Please help. Thank you

. doc filew couldn't be opened I recently update my macbook pro to High Sierra. The problem I have is with .doc files. I run Pages09 and older filew doc I had in my HD or new I made using pages and saving as doc files, I have the same message "The doument "name file" couldn't be opened. Thanks

Unable to Open Files I have never had issues, but ever since the last iOS update, weird things have been going wrong with my MacBook Air. The worst one is that I cannot open my files at all--whether it is Word, Pages, or Adobe. Any advice? I have done force quits and rebooted the computer. Thanks AB

can not open document on my mac i see ALL my info in finder - word, excel, pdfs and jpegs. NOTHING will open. been trying all kinds of things with NO error message. this all started when i was cleaning up a 'copy' of my documents and then tried to rename the file ANY SUGGESTIONS?
