Can't import any media into iMovie, not enough disk space error message

Since I updated macOs Catalina version 10.15 on my MacBook Pro, I can't import any media into my iMovie Library. I had to edit a video and everything was just fine, but after i updated, i can't do anything even with my current edit. It says that i dont have enough disk space as shown below

I've tried deleting almost all media on media library but the error still pops up. But when i check my media library, it's not even close to be full

I've also tried creating new media library but the error message still pops up and i really need to fix this as i have few videos that need to be edited as soon as possible. Is there any suggestion on how to fix this not enough disk space error?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Several others have experienced the “not enough space” issue. What has solved it is to redownload iMovie. To do that, drag your present iMovie app from the Applications folder to the trash, but don’t empty the trash. Then sign in to the online app store with your Apple I.D. and password. Then open your app store account by clicking on your name at the bottom of the side bar. Look at your purchases list. You can download iMovie from there. After a successful download you can empty the trash. Now see if the “not enough disk space” issue is resolved.
