iTunes Remote App does not work with Catalina

I use iTunes Remote app on iPhone to remotely control music playing on Mac. Ever since I updated to Catalina, the app doesn’t work.

Has anyone experienced the same? Have you found a solution or workaround?

Yes, affecting all. Rumour has it that it may be fixed in the next update.
