iPhone XS Max does not work with CarPlay.

My iPhone XS Max does not work with CarPlay on my 2020 Lexus 350. The car’s CarPlay works fine with other iPhones, but not with mine. The dealer tested this and everything is working on their end. They also confirmed that I did everything possible to make this work. Their iPhone 7 connects just fine. I have a friend with an iPhone XR and it connects fine to my car. My XS Max will also not connect to their 2017 Acadia. This all points to. A problem with iPhone. I am at IOS 13.1.3.

Please help; one big reason I bought this car was to be able use CarPlay.

Thank you!

George

Thanks for all your suggestions, most of which I had already done. Doing a considerable amount of research on this I stumbled on a post from someone with a similar issue. He solved the problem by resetting ALL iphone settings. Go to Reset in the iPhone settings and take this option... This does not delete any data or media, but it is somewhat of a pain if you have done a lot of special settings over the length of using the phone. But I was desperate, so I tried that and presto, Carplay is now working!!!

Not sure why but at this point it's not important... LOL!

I hope this is helpful to other users who may run into the same issue...

Thanks again,

George

Hello Skysnare,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand the iPhone is not working with CarPlay. I'll gladly assist in any way I can.

Try the suggestions you haven't done yourself already from this link under 'Get help' : How to use CarPlay with your iPhone

I also notice the iPhone may be on a previous version of iOS. Be sure to back up then update to the latest version (iOS 13.2.2): How to update iOS on your iPhone or iPad — Apple Support - YouTube

If you're still seeing the same issues, reach out to Apple Support directly: Contact Apple Support

Take care.
