Boot Camp - Bluetooth & Wifi not working

Hi, I am trying to install Windows 10 via bootcamp but Bluetooth and Wifi drivers don't seem to be installed/working properly.

I have tried reformatting the partition and starting again. As well as installing the additional Windows Support Software. - This got the wifi working but it drops out and doesn't work as well as the macOS partition.

Windows is saying that my keyboard and magic mouse are paired but neither work. I have also tried to connect my bluetooth headphones but they aren't found during pairing.

Apple support haven't been able to fix it so far and Microsoft support stonewalled me as soon as I mentioned Boot Camp.

Is there a fix for this?

Hi,

I had very similar issues with my Bluetooth mouse not pairing in Windows 10 bootcamp.

Windows would always 'see' the my mouse, but unable to pair (it will always time out).

I've spent countless hours on this issue, trying various solutions in which none worked: Tweaking power management settings (disabling allow this device to turn off to save power), uninstalling all Bluetooth drivers and performing a hardware scan, even updating Windows to the latest version 1909.

It might sound ridiculous, but I managed to solve the issue upon encountering this thread in Reddit - which involves a simple solution - a 'cold reboot'. It simply means shutting down your MacBook proper (using the shut down button, instead of restart), waiting 3-5 seconds, and then turning the machine back on again. There is a whole discussion on Reddit as to why this is the case, perhaps a caching mechanism involved in a 'warm reboot' (i.e rebooting pressing the 'restart' button) that Apple might have built into the system.

It might or might not solve you problem, but it sure ended hours of my woes.
