I purchased my AirPods Pro few days ago and noticed that the lid it can shift left and right along the hinge and kind of creaks if you do it. Not sure if it’s a defect on my unit or just the build quality.
I already changed mine once at the Apple store and the new pair has the same issue.
People who have bought the AirPods Pro, do you have the same problem?
Update and happy new year people. So apple and i had a little chat and they said that loose lid is a quality issue and it is not possible that in any way consumer could have caused it and yet my airpods are out of warranty they are willing to provide me with a new free of cost replacement case i argued that i am not the only one affected and that these are 250$ airpods and if this is an apple issue you cannot charge another 100$ for a quality issue which worsens overtime. Hope this answers everything.

Yeah I noticed that my AirPods also got straight to 99% as soon as you take them out of the case but for the most part the battery life is normal.
It’s because they changed the hinge for AirPods Pro
Also does anyone know if it’s gets even looser as time goes on?

Yes! I bought mine around a month ago and have the same problem. I checked the verification number but they are authentic. For this price I do expect better

I got mine replaced and once the replacement was done apple charged me 100$ and isn’t returning it this is not fair and i will issue a complaint against this scam
They kept my old case and my 100$ authorization and gave me a malfunctioning case this is the thanks we Get for buying 250$ earphones

hello. im having the same issue with my airpods pro charging case. I got it on january 2020. While case is intact and hasnt received any hits or damage, lid is moving right and left and hinge is giving strange creaking sound. I dont think a 300usd piece of hardware should show signs of loosening after 2 months of regular use
