I have a Hp 1212 MFP printer and I an unable to use

the scanning function , Its says developer needs too update app how do I get scanner to work again with the MacOS catalina update on my MacBook

Try the driver from this HP site: HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf Multifunction Printer series. It lists 10.15 as compatible.
