FCPX not supporting DJI Mimo video

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 which works with the DJI Mimo app.

I've created about 70 small video clips I'd like to edit in FCPX now but upon import the sound is missing.

The videos are in MP4 and if I convert to MOV I get the sound back. This is pretty annoying if I have to convert 70 different videos.

How can I go about fixing this issue?

Thank you,

Jan

Weird video. The codec specifies as H.264 PAL (1-1-6) but the frame rates are 29.97, which is NTSC (1-1-1). The frame rates are probably drifting as well; one shows as 29.85. The easiest is to convert the files in the Finder. Select all the clips, right-click and use Encode Selected Files. ProRes would be best, but it will make large files.

Also, be careful what file you use in a project first if the projects are automatic. If FCP can't read the frame rate as a standard rate it may set 60fps, the way it does for stills.
