Hi. How do you do now the screen rotation on macOS Catalina?
It used to be option-command click on an opened System Preferences, hold option-command still then while clicking Display preferences- this doesn't work now.

Similar screen issue with Catalina MacOS x 10.5: Display rotation doesn't stay rotated.
I go into "Settings" then "Display" and rotate my auxiliary screen, 90 degrees , then I "CONFIRM" the setting.
However, every time after my MBP goes to sleep, or I unplug and replug in that screen, it reverts back to previous vertical rotation setting, thus requiring me to to re do the display setting modification.
Any advice on how to make that setting truly confirmed and saved?????

Wasn't aware there was a shortcut, but I change the orientation via Settings --> Displays --> Set Rotation on Target display.
Solutions to hold command and option while clicking display settings is correct. BUT, screen reverts to original orientation within 15 seconds. How do you keep the screen rotated? We need a fix for that...
Hi. It seems Apple just won't allow this anymore, even though the hardware used to support it (had this with even the Late 2009 iMac using a pre macOS operating system). They should bring this back for all Macs, in the next macOS update.
