IPhone disconnects when importing photos

Hi there! I’m about to loss my mind. I’ve been having this problem for far too long. Every time I go to import my photos from my iPhone 7 onto my windows 10 Acer laptop it begins to import my photos via the windows photo app, but then disconnects after importing 8 or less photos (sometimes doesn’t import at all). I made sure that I have the device driver up to date on my iPhone, and the cord I’m using works just fine. It connects to the computer, it just doesn’t import my photos. Please help :(

iPhone 7, iOS 13

I fixed the issue by removing the screen lock timer and disabeling my antivirus live scanning. I also disabled my firewall but I doubt that had antying to do with it.

Setting-> Display & Brightness -> Auto-Lock

Set it to never for the file transfer and set it back when done.

This is my third day, experiencing with photos in iPhone and Mac OS.

1- I could manage to become the owner of my photos of my iPhone; rather than lease my own photos! Tedious, but I use air drop and now have all my photos on a USB disk.

2- I do have the same photos and perhaps another 120GB of photos on my MacBook.

the issue here is that all photos are there nicely and are even imported from my iPhone.

somewhat is my problem?

they are all in Photo App of MacBook. So when I back up, it is fine. But what happens if the MacBook pass it’s life time(6 years?) and not repairable, like my old MacBook. Then since all photos are on the backup, I need to buy another MacBook and restore! To restore photos! Rather expensive, unless you are one of those fans who always buy the latest Mac, etc..

I am not.

so practically everything is nicely setup but I am not the owner of my photos. I am leasing the photos.

so today I started to export the photos from photo app of my MacBook 2016,2GB ram.

it is another tedious manual work. But I have managed to export (JPEG) some of them.

it does it but after finishing its export, e.g 1000 photos. Photo app crashes. I force quit and start again.

i will be doing it until I have all my photos on USB disk and back them up, back up my own photos as photos not the whole Mac backup!

Continue....

photo app crashed and I could not access the option to force quit. So I restarted the Mac. When came back USB disk( WD 1TB) which was connected became corrupted! Mac did not recognise it. I boot into Windows and thanks to Windows, it repaired the USB disk and then I boot again into MacOS. How disappointing that Mac does not repair the USB Disk.

i really like MacOS, but here Windows have me a hand, otherwise all the photos were lost.

and NO I would not pay a penny for cloud.

I am still finding the same issues. I don’t know if anyone else is finding it. I am unable to transfer photos or Videos from my 12 Pro Max. I hang out a lot and have lots of memories but unable to save the photos and Videos on my PC. My IPhone connects to ITunes and works fine. But when I try to transfer photos it says (Device Unrechable). How will I be able to save my photos and videos.

It seems that when large amount of files and data is available on one particular folder. Copying files from it creates the problem. Cuz I tried individual folders from different time as the photos and videos from different time is saved on individual folder. When I tried to copy files from the folder which has occupied the highest amount of space from my phone to my PC, It actually disconnects my phone and says phone disconnected. Otherwise I have no issues transferring from other folders. Which has less files and occupying less space. I don’t know what is causing this issue. But definitely didn’t have this problem before.

i swear to christ with apple.....jesus almighty....why is it so difficult and incompatible??? i thought electronics and devices were supposed to get better with age and newer versions.....

why does my iphone cause me so much grief? why do i have to click this and that and navigate here and do 10 extra steps just to put my pictures on my pc because i have to do a factory reset due to ANY issue with this phone...........................

i'm just returning my iphone, and grabbing an android, any android, because any android would be better than an iphone. the motorola razr flip phone was better than the iphone.
