I just got my 16 inch macbook pro. There is a cracking/popping sound when I play music/video using the mbp speakers, and jump to next song/video. Is this hardware or software issue?

There are plenty of examples where large numbers of reports though the above feedback system made a difference. There are no examples of complaining here helping fix anything.
Unbelievable, man. Thanks for the info. Not sure what we have in the US, but will speak with my bank tomorrow if there's anything I can do to get refunded for a defective product.
Yes, they should have a similar law.
Search for Audio MIDI and then change the format to 48000. See if that helps. I changed mine and don't hear the crackling sound. Try it.
Yes, but it was fine until we updated to 10.4.4.
I went mad and got a new replacement machine from Apple now, with 10.4.3 on it and not upgrading yet.

It happens sometimes using Spotify on chrome or during Meeting with MS Teams.
Are there a fix? It is very annoying....
Yes, mine on 10.15.3 is good, but worried about updating to 10.15.4 for this reason as the last machine (before I returned for a replacement) was fine until the update.

I don't have those issues, but interestingly I have changes made to the usual energy saver settings, and do not let the OS change the display brightness automatically which you can change in display.
Yes, but what is interesting is the machine I have now and other two were all custom top spec machines (2.5 weeks to build and deliver direct from China), so no stock items.
Yes understood, but I don't think they were faulty. I think that the software updates and the drivers for the speakers, for certain parts they sourced broke with that update.
Still not fixed with 10.15.4
Works for me on 10.15.4. Must be different parts or chipsets.
So what should I do in your opinion? I have to wait another update or send it back to Amazon as defective unit?
