When I push my AirPods Pro into my ears I hear a really high pitched noise, similar to the mosquito sound everyone used to play. Has anyone else experienced this? When they’re off it doesn’t happen, so I’m assuming it’s part of the noise cancellation.

Same. Started with one ear. I got the screeching to stop by resetting but then it had a constant static - but only in transparency and noise cancelling mode. I called. Told them my guess was from sweat. I was told emphatically no, they are designed for the gym. I took them in. They replaced just the bad one at no cost. But, just yesterday, the other is screeching so I’ll need to go in again. FYI - They were nice at the store and had heard of similar issues. They had me reset, which didn’t work. Then replaced one without even listening for themselves. You have to wait 30 minutes in store for the new AirPods to sync while charging, which was annoying. And wow, that screeching is so loud it could damage ears. Worried this could become a big issue for Apple.
Had the exact same issue. Happens when I’m running/sweating. The screeching noise is really loud and definitely can hurt your ears. Given the huge response about this I wouldn’t be surprise if there’s a recall.
Same thing here. It fortunately stopped for a week or so but the problem just returned. I’ve traced it back to happening after I cotton swapped the AirPods with rubbing alcohol. Did you ever do that beforehand?
I have this same problem, only happens in right ear and only happens when using noise canceling and transparent modes. Very disappointed in Apple once again as the noise canceling is why I purchased them.
im getting a high pitched screech when I now use the AirPods. I’ve only had 6 days. Probably a total of 7 hours use. Others having this issue?
Same here, happened a few times when I push them into my ears. trying to figure out why it's happening. scared to push them in any harder because that sounds hurt my ear pretty bad.

I contacted apple support and this is what I got
Just happened in my right ear and it was really really loud...like on the fringe of damaging loud.
Apple support just confirmed with their engineering team that this is normal behavior. Unbelievable for a $250 pair of headphones.

It is happening to me too. Just my left AirPod pro. I just purchased them 3 days ago. It happens when I push the AirPod into my ear. Very high pitched sound. Huge bummer that now I have to spend my time to take a brand new item into the apple store to figure this out. Anyone heard if this is a software or hardware issue?
I recently was forced to wipe and perform a clean install on my iPhone 11. For a few days it seemed like the audio connection was improved, the speaking from the left bud appeared to go away.
Unfortunately it returned. Similar ear movement, chewing, talking, coughing, walking on hard surfaces can cause enough vibration in the ear canal to reproduce it.
I forgot to create by feedback ticket, I'll do that next.

I've followed the reference documents and confirm the issue persist, though minimized immediately after cleaning using the steps described in your links.
The issue is reproduced while walking on hard surfaces, or similar vibration to the ear canal.
My AirPods Pro still report firmware 2B588, I've been monitoring when the new firmware installs.
Quick update from. My replacements continue to work flawlessly a few weeks after I got them. However I have not been able to pass the fit test with ANY of the tip sizes.
I wonder if the fit test is broken?
This happens to both of my buds. I have to be very careful when pushing them back into my ears because they’ll do this and it hurts. I wish I didn’t have to keep pushing them back in because they won’t stay in place.
