Distorted playpack after a while

Sometimes when playing music through iTunes the audio will get distorted. It starts off fine, but after a while an awful discussion will start. Restarting seems to fix it, so it can't be a settings thing, but eventually it happens again. It's very annoying. Everything else in Windows plays fine, YouTube, streaming radio, other media players etc so it's definitely an iTunes specefic problem, and it's becoming very annoying.

Any ideas?

Hello dayle77,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like music played using iTunes will eventually start to sound distorted, but restarting the computer will fix it. Since this is isolated to one app make sure iTunes is up to date. Is this happening to all songs in iTunes?

Update to the latest version of iTunes
