Music app always skips the same songs in a playlist, but will play if selected directly

Hello,

The new music app in OS Catalina keeps skipping a large number of the songs in the 'Up Next' queue.

For example, if I shuffle a playlist with 101 songs in it, you can see the order of the songs that will be played in the 'upcoming songs' section, however when the song ends it skips to another one much further down the list.

If I add some of these songs to 'Up Next', it skips over this song and plays a song much further down the list. However, if I click to play this song directly, it will happily play that song no problem.

If I leave the playlist playing, it will only play around 15-20 songs before stopping completely. And they are always the same songs.

I have noticed this happens with more than one playlist, so I'm assuming this is a bug of some sort.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Oscar

Select one of the songs that is skipped. Right-click and use Check Selection if present in the context menu. Press cmd+i to Get Info and look on the options tab. Uncheck Skip when shuffling if checked.
