I will update the post as it develops.
Yes! I had had this problem. Plus my ear where itching so bad on the inside it was driving absolutely crazy!
Thought it was regular allergies but didn’t use AirPod pros for a week, itching went away. Then used them on an airplane ride totally came back. So 🙁 bummed. I have tiny ears & these are 1st to fit my ears & the sound is incredible. I have several different Bose- do not have this problem. Expensive problem for me!
Hi, it should be something different in the Airpods pro Ear tips silicone because in my case in a couple of hours it was crazy. I agree that fit and quality was perfect. I’m waiting for official ear tips from different material.
THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME TOO. But I don't believe it's just the silicon eartips bc I have irritation where the airpod pro arm touches the skin on the side of my face as well as the ear canals....I've used all apple products for almost 10 years and wore the original Aiprods for over a year with no problems at all and I recently upgraded to the Airpod Pros at the end of October. I wore them for a couple of weeks no problem, then began to develop pretty serious--what seemed to be--bilateral otitis externa caused by some kind of bacteria or fungus, that I assumed got on them when I dropped them on the ground at work. The symptoms would present after wearing them for about 4 hours and included 7-8/10 pain in both ears, inflammation, itchiness, significant swelling, as well as erythema/itchiness outside my ear where the tip of the airpod arm touches my skin, all of which is followed by severe crusting that would occlude my entire ear canal for over a week. Antibiotics given by my doctor did not seem to do much of anything but the irritation and crusting would completely subside after about a week and a half to two weeks after not wearing the Airpod pros. I have tested the airpod Pros in one ear at a time and each time the reaction would occur in only the ear I place the Airpod; and I should note that I disinfected the airpods multiple times before testing them again just to be sure it was not some infectious agent and even tried this using a completely different set of Airpod Pros. I have also tested other earbuds and have had no reaction to them..so I am now thinking I developed an allergy to something specifically in the Airpod Pros and I'm not really sure where to go from here other than to stop wearing them; which is a shame because they are the best wireless earbuds I've used, hands down.
As I said before the same thing happened to me, I made the same tries as you, and have the same effects. The only good thing for me and my ears is that I only wore the airpods pro for 40 minutes and it wasn't so bad the injures. I have worn silicone earbuds for 4-5 different companies and never had a problem.
I am waiting to official Apple Ear Tips supplies with similar silicone to other products in the market to be able to use Airpods pro.
If someone else find a solution please share with us.
I purchased the AirPod pros and also had an allergic reaction to the silicone tips. I definitely would recommend that if anyone experiences itching they stop using this as it may be that there is an allergy to the tips. Follow up with a dr if unsure to avoid an ear infection.
I’ve had serious reactions to the Airpods Pro too. Swelling of the ear canal, burning, itching, drainage. Would love to try some kind of hypoallergenic alternative tips but I don’t think anything like that exists yet.
Having experienced the itch, fluids etc. from using my airpods etc. pretty much straight off after receiving them (six days ago) I’ve just now stumbled upon this thread.
I did some research on apples website and I came across this which I thought I’d share https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT211158
So it’s definitely either the nickel or acrylates that’s causing my reaction, and I’m guessing that changing the buds won’t help me.
Just thought I’d share in case it’d be of help for anyone else.
Good to know these are available as an alternative, thank you! I would definitely recommend anyone having this is issue with the AirPods or Pro to submit feedback. Apple has a dedicated team to review all feedback and getting it to the right department.
Another or additional option is to contact Apple (may want to ask for a Senior Advisor/Manager) to request a complaint be submitted about a product. They will log the complaint for you to make sure it gets to the appropriate team.
Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
I want to make sure you reach the right team for help with your AirPods Pro. I recommend that you contact Apple Support directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Contact Apple Support

I have now reported this to Apple and opened a case with them! They say currently they have not heard this before, I do find this very hard to believe.
If you haven't reported this apple already please do so. Contact Apple Support
I also brought memory foam tips, but I have not received them, once I do i'll let you guys know if they make any different.

Because of the high level of secrecy in developing products, Apple has to test these products in very small sample sizes. If a tiny, tiny, tiny (like, less than 0.01%) is allergic to something in the tips, the likelihood of the allergy appearing in trials is extremely low.
I'm not saying that it's not important to ID the material that does cause the allergy, it very much is! But Apple does point out here (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211158) that their audio devices have acrylates and methacrylates in them, so it might be that any allergies that do show up in trials are chalked up to those materials and therefore get lumped in with the nickel allergy that prevents some people from using Apple Watches—which is to say that Apple feels their due diligence is letting those people that are allergic to those things know, and they can proceed at their own risk.
The important thing we're doing here is raising awareness for the small % that are affected, trying to find solutions, workarounds, and to report the issue as much as possible.
Think the comment about going back to old AirPods was meant for someone else.
Worth mentioning however that this issue seems to be present on the Powerbeats Pro too. I was considering them as a replacement but found reports of the issue effecting them on Google. For example: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251049449
This is fascinating. With memory foam tips working for some and not others (they don't work for me), it's seeming like there's people in this thread with silicone allergy and possibly an allergy to the hard plastic acrylates referenced in this article https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211158
I ordered a pair of the new Bose NC Earbuds to test and they just got here today, so I'll report back with how my ears react. I've been using my silicone-tipped Bose Soundsport Wireless for a couple weeks no to no averse effects, hoping that the tips on the new ones are made of the same stuff...
