Can't find server

Can't find server

I keep getting a message from the system that it can't find a server.

The detail in the message reads "There was a problem connecting to the server "2011 iMac" This is a holdover from transferring my data from my old computer to my new computer. "2011 iMac" is the name I gave to my old computer when it was connected to my network. Now that it has gone, something keeps looking for it - but I can't discover what is looking or how to stop it. Any suggestions?

Check your Login Items in Users & Groups System Prefs.

It would have been a folder name or something like that.

Try looking in ~/Library/LaunchAgents for a plist file that has a name that might reflect some reason to connect to that Mac.

I don' know what else might be causing that.

Well no, I didn't. I had it set to ask each time. But I've changed that now to a specific directory, and since I did so, I've not seen the popup notice. I guess time will tell.

I did find an entry that was called "itunes helper", and was flagged and labelled as "unknown" kind. I deleted that, and tried logging off and on. The problem notice reappeared, so I guess that is not the problem.
