How do I import photos from iPhoto to messages?

How do I import photos from iPhoto to messages? All it seems to do now is go to taking a photo. I’m using an iPad.

Hello,

Apple discontinued iPhoto several years ago, are you referring to the Photos application? Within Messages tap the Apps button > Photos.
