Apple Watch stopwatch start/stop feature, and always on feature adjustment (Need the ability to start/stop using the Digital Crown and/or side button)
I am a die hard apple fan, and have been for more than 10 years now. With that said, I am a division run track and field sprinter, and needed a watch with an effective timing system. I have had an apple watch for 3/4 years now and have struggled to use it for running because while running, it is so difficult to "wake up" the watch, and then to touch the stop button on a touch screen that is constantly moving, with every arm pump, is virtually impossible. The solution is so simple, that I'm surprised Apple hasn't already made the adjustment. Why can't you start and stop the stopwatch by simultaneously pressing the digital crown and side button like you can in the workout app. Also, with the apple watch series 5 always on feature, why doesnt the stopwatch application remain visible and interactive when it is in its "dimmed" stage. Adding this start/stop feature and making this minor adjustment to the always on feature for the stopwatch would make this so useful for EVERYONE who runs, especially those who UNDER A MILE, and just anyone looking to use a stopwatch. The Garmin watches have recognized the necessity of starting and stoping a stopwatch with a physical side button when working out. Please make this change Apple, so I can remain a devoted Apple customer/supporter, and not have to switch to Garmin over something so small, but yet so crucial and easy to fix.
