Apple 3 watch screen stuck on logo

I just bought this Apple Watch 3 days ago. I charged it and now it is stuck on the apple logo. My iPhone display shows the watch is charged but I cannot get the watch to load past the logo. I have tried the suggestions posted on others' similar questions. Anyone have this recently and successfully fixed the issue?
