Can't remove boot camp partition

I am trying to remove the Bootcamp Partition. When I open Bootcamp Assistant and try to Continue, it says that I need at least 40GB of disk space to continue. I cleaned up space and now I have 44 GB of space available. I can't get past this lack of space message. I want to remove the Bootcamp Partition to gain that disk space.
