iOS 13.2.3 changing region by itself

Same issue, happened twice the past week. iPhone 7 - iOS13

Language changes from Dutch to English, region changes from Netherlands to USA.

It happened two times after disconnecting from Carplay.

The phone is always very hot after disconnecting and functions very slow.

iPhone 7 with iOS 13.3.

Has been happening ever since the first iOS13 update and still is happening with the latest. (13.3)

When I connect the iPhone 7 to Apple Carplay every once in a while the phone switches from region The Netherlands to The United States.

It also changes the language from Dutch to English and all other settings that go with the region change.

My carplay radio is a Sony XAV-1AX100 with the latest firmware. (1.02.09)

I have the exact same thing in the Netherlands. Mine seems to crash when using Carplay and Spotify. Spotify music starts studdering and stops playing, the rest of the CP apps seem to keep working (at least TomTom as I use it for navigating). After this crash the 'Opdrachten' (Tasks?) app is now back on my main screen (normally I dont use it and put it in another folder). The region and language are all set to English/USA.

Dutch tech forum Tweakers has other users that also report this issue with iPhone 7s on 13.2.3.

Edit: updated to 13.3, issue persists.

I’m also having the issue here in the UK. Phone changed from UK to US.

It is deffo linked to CarPlay as mine has only started doing it when I got a new car with CarPlay. Before that no issues at all.

I just can’t pinpoint what with CarPlay causes it.

Additional to the language & region changing issue, the Spotify app on CarPlay has issues (can't load playlist), and Whatsapp on CarPlay works slower than before the latest CarPlay update. When i connect my wifes iPhone 8 then Spotify works as normal., Whatsapp didn't try that.

It seems a combination of iOS 13 on iPhone 7 with latest version Carplay.

Common Apple...when do we get any reaction ?!

I wrote here few months and since then i haven’t had this issue.

Today it happend again but today in the office at work with no direct impact from CarPlay. Although I use CarPlay daily so I don’t want to negate that. I wasn’t doing anything special, some bank app and Outlook. Phone got very hot. Realy hot! And then slowed down and switched region and language. Because of temperature I was a bit scared that battery may burn or something.

Someone could realy react here.

Iphone 7

I had exactly the same this morning. I left the car (used CarPlay) and iPhone was also very hot and slow. Then I noticed that the region was US instead of Belgium.

it is not the first time. I had this issue in december while I was driving I noticed that the maps was using miles instead of kilometres and the navigation was in English instead of Dutch.

I have less issues, less heat, less slow operation, no language-region changes anymore since i disabled the auto-tasks. It is of course not the right solution, but temporary.

I am surprised no person of Apple is asking questions here of giving comments. It seem they don't care.

Only good thing is that I see lots of people have this issue.

same in my story: iPhone 7, newest published iOS. I have iPhone set to Polish with all regions inside. Often, only Phone/Google Maps app changes display language into English.

once, when my phone warmed up highly (5h driving on CarPlay + Spotify) it switched off ITSELF. As a “present” I got “News” App, US region and English as a device language.

hope that’s a bug not intentional suicide plan for iPhone 7...

Hi. Still no news? I've had this problem since upgrading to ios13 and still no solution. This is VERY annoying. It happens to me several times a week. Today it has happened twice.

Symptoms : iPhone changes from French region to USA when connected to CarPlay (not always). Then becomes very hot and slow.

I'm going crazy! Now running iOS 13.3.1, but no change.

I dont have the language and region changes and extreme heat anymore since I stopped using Tasks (automatic tasks) in iOS.

It’s of course not the solution of the bug but it reduces the annoying changes.

I have the same issue since moving to ios 13.x and it persists even now with ios 13.4. Iphone7, original region: Austria, keyboard: Hungarian, mostly after using CarPlay (Ford C-Max), but not only. It switches to US region with keyboards set to US+emoji (switched off for me). Does not happen on ipad (gen 6).

Same issue here. It began months ago and still persists on iOS 13.4. Defenetly connected with CarPlay, happens mostly in the car but sometimes also after some time from disconnection.

Same problem AGAIN.. iphone 7 ios 13.3.1 from italy. Problem persisting from first release of ios 13 when connecting to carplay. All credit card disconnected, it is a really disappointing problem and it is so bad that Apple is ignoring this problem.
