When I buy a song from iTunes, it downloads, everything seems fine.
Later on, could be couple months, it shows my music that I purchased, but I have to download again, using up more data.
Why does it do this and how can I just make it STAY downloaded.
p.s. I do not use the cloud for storage.

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having an issue with songs you purchased from the iTunes Store on your iPhone. To help with this, please go to Settings > Music and see if Optimize Storage is enabled and then test your situation again.
