iNote Syncing Issue

When I enter information in my notes on my iPhone 7, it syncs to my MacBook pro with no problems. But when I enter information in notes from my MacBook pro, that information doesn't sync to my iPhone. I have to turn off my iPhone and turn it back on to get it to sync. My MacBook pro was issued about 2011 and is updated to High Sierra 10.13.6 and my iPhone 7 is updated with 13.2.3. What can I do to get my MacBook pro notes to sync with my phone without always having to turn my phone off and back on again?

Try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off Notes syncing. Wait a few minutes and then slide syncing on. Allow time for syncing to occur.

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
