Can't add Yahoo email account to iPhone

I am having the same issue. I changed my password about a month ago and was able to update it through the iPhone mail app with no issue. I had to change the password again 2 days ago and am able to log into my account on my iPad and MacBook, but not able to update the password through the iPhone mail app. I then deleted the account and tried to add it back in and now it looks like its going to accept the information but then it just takes me back to the add list again. Not sure what would have changed between a month ago and now to not allow this to work but I'm frustrated. I have updated my phone, restarted it, tried it on something other than my wifi, still nothing. I"m with the posted above. I've had this email for 15+ years, everything is tied to it, I'd rather be able to fix this issue without having to use to the yahoo mail app, then have to change my email address. It makes no sense as to why it all of a sudden won't update.

Your account was compromised. I hope to high heaven that you don't use the same password for any other accounts because if you do, it was compromised.

You may want to make sure you're in on the class action they're in the process of settling now.

KiltedTim -so does it matter that I have changed my passwords? I can log in on my computer both at home and work with no problem. It is just on my ipad and iphone. I think it has to do with the update from this week.

I have done this. No help. It won't add the account. It is on a loop. You choose Yahoo from page 1, enter your credentials on page 2, then you're back to page 1. The account never adds. Again, a loop to nowhere.

Okay took my new iPad off WiFi and used my phone as a hotspot internet connection an was able to set up my iPad

Still did not work for me. It goes to log on asking for my password and then sends me verification code. Once I put that in then it goes back to enter password.

I've had my Yahoo email address for 25 years. It is associated with many things. Just not willing to give it up yet.

Will keep looking for a solution. This just does not make sense.

Could this be a result of the update this week? Now it’s even giving me trouble with remembering passwords. Argh - this is so frustrating.

Thanks. I opened a ticket with Apple and they escalated it to a senior tech. We did screen sharing and he was stumped. He is escalating it now to Apple Engineers. So weird...

I had the exact same thing happen and half my contacts were linked to my yahoo account . I tried calling customer service at yahoo and they informed me I had to pay to talk to someone live! WTH?!
