ApplePay / NFC Chip Fail on latest iOS13Patch

I updated to the latest iOS 13.2.3 patch - which fixed the bug for icon rearranging while zoom is enabled - and now ApplePay doesn’t work, specifically the NFC chip on my iPhone 6s Plus stopped functioning.

I went to Apple’s Genius Bar, the tech openly admitted iOS 13 is super buggy - he ran a diagnostic and said the NFC chip was not throwing a hardware error but confirmed it was not functioning, therefore the next step is to wipe the phone with a factory reset and hope it’s a software bug. If that fails I was advised my best option would be to trade in 6s Plus and spend $400 on an 8 Plus — Thanks Apple!!!

Hello,

Do you perform the factory reset? If not, try it:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Good luck.

Not yet, I have some shopping to do today and was thinking to disable Accessibility Zoom and test the NFC again — it’s a long shot but since it was the source of the bug for a prior problem, maybe…

A factory reset is a big inconvenience, I don’t use iCloud and have some 100gigs of photos and videos, so I just want to make sure I’m all backed up for FREE on Google Photos and then I’ll delete them off of my device, because Apple iCloud won’t let you do an backup image of a device’s user state unless you include all photos on the device. Thanks Apple.
