why is restricted safari showing up on my kids XR

We do not allow Safari on our child's phone. Today is showed up on their home screen and she can't delete. It is still restricted in Screen Time settings. What to do?

Thank you!

Safari can't be deleted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps and make sure Safari is turned off. If it is but Safari is still showing up then first try restarting the device and if that doesn't work try turning off Screen Time restrictions and then re-enable them.

This was happening for me, too. I have found that when turning off safari, I have to turn it off and then go backwards out of settings (keep pushing back arrow until back to settings page) instead of closing the settings app while I’m still on the restrictions page. I don’t know why it works, but it works for me. If I exit the app from the restrictions settings, safari stays on the phone.
