Hello, I recently bought a Mini display HDMI adapter for my I Mac, I got the adapter so I could connect my Xbox one to my I Mac when I got it everything plugged in fine but I was confused on how u get my Xbox display on my I Mac? Because I want to see my Xbox on the iMac but I don’t know what I need to press to be able to or what buttons or settings can anyone help?

Let me make it clear, you cannot use your iMac as a display for your Xbox. Please read Use your iMac as a display with Target Display Mode and you will see no mention of an Xbox, this means it simply will not work. As Den.Thed said, iMacs are computers, they are not displays for other devices.

The iMac is not a display or monitor for other devices. While it is true that some iMac work as displays, they only work when they are connected to another Mac.
You need to use a real display monitor or TV for your Xbox.
Take, send the adapter back or optionally, use the adapter to connect a external HDMI Display or HDMI TV to your iMac.
No that’s not true i use my imac late 2009 as my xbox one screen all the time

By chance, do you have any antivirus or cleaning apps installed on the computer?
So I’m confused can I use the adapter I just bought in my iMac to use the Xbox on? Or did I just waste my money

I looked at the website I don’t understand the instructions I puked the HDMI in and the adapter to the Mac and I pressed command f2 nothing happend
