Update Apple Settings message

I frequently get this message on my Mojave iMac: "Update Apple ID settings. Some account services will not be available until you sign in again." What's happening ?

Open Apple ID preferences panel in System Preferences. Start by clicking on the Continue button above the listbox. You will first get asked to put in the password for your Apple ID. A little while after doing that you will be asked to enter you Admin password. The whole process may take some time. You aren't finished until you have entered both passwords and the display window has cleared.

This is a security measure that occurs when you have made certain changes to macOS or other software upgrades. Not a problem.
