export keeps failing

every time i go to export/share my project it keeps failing, i have tried sharing it to different devices and still fails. can anyone help me?

Hi, gigi-,


Try opening iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if you can share out the project.


Also, sometimes projects can get corrupted. Try placing your media into a newly created project and see if you can share out from there. You can do that by doing an Edit/Select All, Edit/Copy, of the media in your present project, and then Edit/Paste it into a newly created project. Then share out from the new project.


Finally, make sure that you have sufficient free space for iMovie to operate efficiently, at least 10 GB, and enough free space to store the movie and receive it at its destination. And have your software fully up to date.
