MacOS update 10.15.2

I created a new user and reboot machine, logged in as new user, brought up Apple News, no issues. Apple News works fine.

I rebooted again, logged in as myself, brought up Apple News and it works just fine w/no issues.

One other note:

While I was creating new user I looked at (about this mac/system report/power) ; It reports "Service Battery".

Not saying that has anything to do with Apple News issue I saw....was just looking and noticed that in the report.

Anyway; many thanks for the suggestion; now I have to decide; replace the battery or upgrade.

approx 5-8 mins. got impatient/needed to access some docs so I rebooted.

Seems to only happen with Apple News, so this is not a big deal.

Had this MacBook since late 2014 and has been really solid performer, which is why I was surprised.

Booted into safe mode brought up apple news and entire system froze.
