Stuck on software update on iPad setup

I got my new iPad Air today, and the setup for it was normal, but when I got to the software update part, it was working normally but it disconnected from my Wi-Fi, and when I reconnected, I couldn't resume the update. The "Resume Download" button was there, but it wouldn't let me press it. The picture attached will show what the software update part looks like. I don't know if I should turn the iPad off then on, because I think it will reset the whole setup and I'll need to do everything again.

So, I turned the iPad off then on, and it did restart the setup, but I was able to get back to the software update part easily. When I got back there, it just said update requested so it restarted the update, but I don't know if it's gonna start the update because I was waiting for a while and the update never started.
