I get error code 0xE000008 when connecting iPad to Windows.

We have two iPhones and two iPad Air 2's and one desktop computer running Windows 10 (freshly updated). One iPad (likewise freshly updated iPadOS13.3) no longer connects to the desktop computer. The error code is 0xE000008. This iPad still connects to the laptop. The other mobile units connects to both Windows machines.

I have been working through the article If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support with no luck.

The Apple mobile Device USB driver seems OK. The driver is the most recent. I have tried with different cables and different USB sockets.

The only odd thing is that there is no usbaapl64.inf or usbaapl.inf to be found on the system. However, the other iPad and two iPhones connect OK, so that does not seem to be a problem. Perhaps Apple has changed the name and the folders (there is also no "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers" folder, and I have looked for hidden and system files).

I had hardly sent off this question before I encountered the following solution: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support
