Disable “open in app”

Hey everyone, I hope you can help because I’m getting really frustrated. I try to keep my installed app footprint really small, I can do most things with chrome, so don’t want to install a hundred crappy apps that go along with every website. But every time I go to eBay, or amazon, or Reddit, I get a prompt that says “open in app?" Trust me Apple, i never will want to do that. How do i turn those prompts off? Reddit is the worst because the whole page is grayed out and am presented with two options - 'open in Reddit app' or 'open in Safari' I don't have the Reddit app (and definitely don't want it) and don't use Safari.

How can i turn off those prompts on my ipad?!

Thanks!
