Seagate external hard drive.

i have bought a seagate enteral hard drive.Everything backs up from my iMac Catalina to seagate except photos.Any ideas?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.15

Where are the photos stored on the computer?
Which app do you use to manage your photos?
Which app do you use to back up your computer?
Why don't you think the photos are not being backed up?

More details: are you getting an error on backing up photos? how big is your backup drive? How are you backing up?
