Apple Pencil no longer pairs

Hi,

I have an iPad Pro 11” with an Apple Pencil.

After updating to iPadOS 13.3, my Apple Pencil has stopped working. At first, I could connect it and the Apple Pencil oval would show up (with no battery) and would pulse from gray to white, but after doing a reset of my settings it now shows up on the top of the screen and shows the rotating Apple Pencil.

I have done a hard reset, reset the contents in settings, unpaired the pencil—all to no avail.

If you have any ideas they would be much appreciated.
