I do not have an arrangement tab

How do I connect an older Mac monitor to my MacBook Pro? I do not see the 'arrangement' tab under 'Display' option.

How to I connect my old mac mini to a monitor. It is maybe first generation. I have an old mac mini I'd like to get music and photos off of. How do I connect a monitor? The port on the back is so different I'm not sure what to do. Is there an adapter? Do I have to buy a new monitor?

Connect the monitor first, then you should see the Arrangement tab, a restart may help make sure the monitor is switched on.
