My internet banking bill payment does not work after installing the most recent Catalina update (10.15.2)

I allowed popUp windows in the Preferences "Websites" setting and went to the banking site again, there is no popUp window. There is a message on the banking site to uncheck "prevent cross-site tracking" & "block all cookies" in the privacy setting of Preferences. Those settings were never checked so I could not uncheck them. I have restarted Safari as instructed and bill pay still does not work using Safari Catalina. I can use "bill pay" on my iPad.

There were two sites that I couldn't access correctly with Safari so I use Firefox for them. It's an excellent browser. I occasionally try the sites with Safari to see if the incompatibility has been fixed.

Try this:

Safari, Preferences, Websites: At the left side of the window: click on PopUpwindows, On the right side (bottom right): select Allow

Visit the website of your bank. If you get a popupwindow: Allow

Does it work now?

Again go to Preferences, Websites, popupwindows and select: when visiting other websites: block and inform.

Go to the website of your bank

On the menubar, click on Safari

Click on Settings for this website

Uncheck the blocking of material.

If this doesn't work, just enable it again

Did you try to close Safari and restart it after unchecking the blocking of material?

Try if it works on another browser like FireFox

Contact your bank and ask them to solve the problem

I contacted my bank, they said it is an Apple problem related to the recent browser update.

They also suggested another browser but I want to use Safari.

Using another browser or an iPad is a work around, not a solution. Apple needs to solve the glitch in Safari.
