I Held down Shift while turning on my iMac OS High Sierra. I was told this takes me to Safe Mode.
How can I tell if I am in it. I don't see anything different? If someone could answer ASAP that would be great. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.

When you login to your account it will say "Safe Mode" in the upper right of your login screen.

I Must have did it wrong can you please tell me how to do it. I shut down my computer. The I held the Shift Key when I pressed the button in the back to turn my computer back on. Once I heard the sound I let go of the Shift Key. Is that correct?
