seagate backup plus hub com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error 49223

I am having problems with my Seagate Backup Plus Hub external drive. It was formatted as exFAT on a windows PC and it cannot be mounted on a mac.

So far I have tried to mount it on Sierra, Mojave and also Catalina, but it never works. When I inspect the drive in disk utility I can see that it is exFAT for sure and when I run the first aid I am told that the disk is in good shape. I have also tried to run the Paragon software from Seagate but I am not able to mount it there either.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, unnsteinngardars!

I understand you're not able to mount an external disk on your MacBook Pro. I'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

You may want to try to mount it while in recovery: How to erase a disk for Mac

At this point, if you wanted to use the external drive with your MacBook, you'll need to format it.

If I've misunderstood your issue, please reply with any additional information you can provide.

Have a great day!
