Synchronising OneDrive

Hi,

I have a Macbook Air 13 with OSX 10.15.2 on which I have OneDrive installed. I don't want to store some the folders on my computer because of their size. When I disable their synchronization, they disappear from the finder and from the memory indicator as "Documents" but appear as "Other" and continue to take up space. I would appreciate your help in solving this problem.
