lines on screen and not reading sim

some water spilled on my iphone xr and now it wont read the sim and has lines on the screen. It was just a couple of drops of water nothing major any solutions?

Any amount of water can cause damage. Newer iPhones are water resistant, not waterproof.

Make an appointment at an Apple store for help. Sounds like hardware failure.
