Installing watchOS 6.1.1

I have the same problem for few days and it was driving me crazy.

Here is how i do it :

On your phone go to settings/general/iphone storage and find watch app and delete it. While your watch is paired it will remain for cloud download. Download it again.

After that reset your watch from the watch settings. After the reset it will ask you for your apple account.

Next restart both devices !

And finally I managed to start the update from my phone. It takes about 30 minutes so leave both devices together on chargers :)

your instruction don’t make sense and not clear. I’m having the same issue others are having with unable to update watchOS 6.1.1, and you keep responding with incorrect instructions. I look for what it is your saying and they’re not even there.

I tried that from another support discussion. The problem is I don’t see any delete button. Delete where? what? I saw Apple Watch but all it shows is storage data, nowhere to delete anything.

Just try what i wrote dont watch anything else.

On the phone go into settings/general/iphone storage and delete the update file that's in the list of apps,then restart your phone and watch and strart again,for your information the whole update process should take about an hour.
