Live Photos is always on, Why?

It seems that Apple is trying to force ‘Live Photo’ into its users. Why?

I have tried endlessly to switch off ‘live photo’ without success. I have used the live photo icon on ‘camera’ and also via ‘settings’. None of them works.

My rationale behind this bug is that Apple is trying to force users to take ‘live photos’ all time, so the phones storage memory gets rapidly filled, hence forcing the user(s) to activate icloud backup and ultimately to buy an expensive data storage package(s) costing for example 10 USD/month.

I am very loyal to Apple, however, it is this type of tiny details that every now and then create distrust and disillusion.

If there is any other reason or explanation, then please explain it to me. Thanks!
