Turning off trackpad when a bluetooth mouse is connected

Just had my new 16" Mac Book Pro

Works like a dream but...

I can not turn off the trackpad when a bluetooth mouse is connected

I go as usual to “System Preferences” and then choose “Accessibility

I Select “Mouse & Trackpad” and check the box “Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present”

But it does not work!

The mouse i a brand new Logitech MX master 3

Can anyone maybe be of assistance?

Thanks for the answer.

After many attempts ....the solution was to not use the bluetooth connection

The solution was to use it like a USB dongle "unifying device".

It works perfectly but it do not feel like a solution that is satisfying

when the Mac only have USB-C connections.

I guess this type of problem is something you have to live with

using new hardware and the latest software.

Hi there, dfect-Sweden.

I see that, when you connect your Logitech MX Master 3 Bluetooth trackpad, the built-in trackpad of your MacBook Pro isn't turned off even though you've checked the box to ignore the built-in trackpad. I'm glad to help with this.

Change Mouse & Trackpad preferences for accessibility on Mac

"Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present

Disable the built-in trackpad on your Mac when you use a mouse or wireless trackpad.

If you use a non-Apple mouse, the driver software that came with your mouse may prevent this option from working as expected. For information, see the documentation for your mouse."

Take care.
