I have searched everywhere I can think go before writing this question. I am composing a book in Pages. I want the page numbering to start on Page 1 of the first chapter but as yet I cannot find a way to do that. Can anyone help? I am using Catalina and Pages 8.2.1

Try Inserting a Section Break at the start of the chapter. Then go to the section tab where you can set/control page numbering.
