Edits on pdf with markup doesn't show on other non-apple devices.

Hi everyone.

I used to receive a lot of pdf in my mail, and just edit them (usally sign the document) using the markup feature of iOS.

Since upgrading to iPadOS, I noticed that whenever i send a signed document if the other person doesn't have an apple device my edits just doesn't show up!

This never happened before, I tried to send a document to an android phone, and it doesn't show up my edits, neither on a windows laptop.

While on my mac and my iPhone the edits are seen correctly, and even on my friend's iPhone there are no issues and everything works as intended.

Even when trying to sign a document on my iPhone, every non-apple device can't see my edits.

So what exactly is happening, is there anything i can do? I'm really desperate because it was the main feature that got me into iPad in the first place.

Before anything else, have you updated your iPad to the latest version of iPadOS? At the time of writing, the most recent update is 13.3.

If not already updated to iPadOS 13.3, you should do so before trying anything else - as many issues, including a known bug with PDF markup - are resolved by this uodate.

iPadOS 13.3.1 doesn’t yet exist - except as a Developer Beta Version. Unless you are signed-up to Aplle’s beta program, you won’t have iPadOS 13.3.1 installed on your device. iPadOS 13.3 is current for general release.

Are you sure you don’t currently have iPadOS 13.1.3 installed - as 13.1.3 version is definitely affected by the known PDF markup bugs.

If you are using any beta version of iPadOS, you should expect to see problems. Other than that, under the specific terms of both this Community Forum and the NDA that you signed-up to in joining the Beta program, we cannot discuss the beta or any subsequent issues here.
