Hi, my iMac 18,1 is only 12 months and is very slow. It beachball's all the time, apps crash and it is generally very slow to respond. I have ran an EtreCheck and my results are as follows:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Heelo,

MacAfee is really going to slow things down especially with only 8GB of RAM these days.

Why is this in the Trash?

[Loaded] CheatSheet 6.46.59 pm (? - installed 2018-12-26)

Application

~/.Trash/CheatSheet 6.46.59 pm.app

The problem is...

Virtual Memory Information:

Physical RAM: 8 GB

Free RAM: 20 MB

See if you can reduce Login items if it's still that short on Free Ram after uninstalling MacAfee per their directions & restarting.

I of ten get 2 or 3 linefeeds when it's only one linefeed. :(

I feel your pain! I have some EtreCheck drive scores stored as text clipping,. From the Desktop they look like this:

If I copy/paste it into a forum window, I get this:

Performance:

    System Load: 1.66 (1 min ago) 1.42 (5 min ago) 1.31 (15 min ago)

    Nominal I/O speed: 0.23 MB/s

    File system: 20.35 seconds

    Write speed:  2156 MB/s

    Read speed:  2863 MB/s

It's not only Etrecheck, but also things I copy from web sites. Someone must have gotten paid a bonus for adding CRs to the forum code!
