MacBook Pro Power Supply Gets REALLY HOT
Not sure how long this has been going on, but I recently noticed the power supply brick for my 2015 MacBook Pro gets insanely hot during use, particularly (but not limited to) full-screen video watching.
I don't even have to be watching very long; after one thirty-minute episode the thing is too hot to touch.
Even with limited, non-video use -- I just opened the laptop and have been on it for less than 10 minutes, and the brick is quite warm... not hot (yet), but a lot warmer than I'd expect for <10 minutes of use.
I can't imagine this is normal... but I wanted to ask before plonking down money for a new one, as they are pretty expensive. I'm definitely concerned because I use the laptop plugged in a LOT (more than on battery power).
(If it's relevant, the battery was replaced by Apple in June 2019. I cannot say for certain if the power supply was getting hot before that or not...)
