bcc email

When sending BCC emails from iPad Pro, typing recipient's name my contact list would pop up with the first letter being typed, now when typing the first letter of recipient's name a dialog box appears with the letters BCC. In order to send to multiple BCC recipients each has to be entered using the plus sign and searching for contact in contact list. This problem developed after one of the latest software updates, haven't been able to find solution.
